“Extremely friendly staff, fair prices and great selection of late-night snacks. Corner shops often try charging a sneaky extra 30 or 50p hoping you won’t notice, but not here. I usually stop by, be it for a bag of crisps or a good conversation.”

“Great place to grab drinks and essentials, and it’s open late which is super convenient for evening plans. The selection of wine, beer and spirits is solid for a neighbourhood shop.”

“Thank you very much to the owners of this shop, who refunded money to my son which was debited in error. Thank you for restoring our faith in human nature. All the best.”

Questions people ask

The practical stuff, hours, what’s in store and how to find us on Hoxton Street.

How late are you open?
We open at 9am most mornings (10:30am on Sundays) and stay open till late every night, midnight Monday to Wednesday, 12:30am Thursday, and all the way to 2am on Friday and Saturday. The banner at the top of this page shows live whether we’re open right now.
What do you sell besides drink?
Plenty. Alongside the wine, beer, cider and spirits there’s champagne and prosecco, soft drinks and mixers, crisps, popcorn, chocolate and sweets, a freezer of ice cream, vaping and e-liquids, and the everyday essentials you pop out for. If you’re after something in particular, give us a ring and we’ll check.
Do you take card?
Yes, there’s a card machine on the counter and we take contactless as well as cash, so you’re fine to pop in for a single bottle.
Where are you, and what’s nearby?
We’re at 149 Hoxton Street, London N1 6PJ, right on the market stretch and a short walk from Hoxton Overground and the top of Shoreditch. Directions are here, and there’s a map just above.
Do I need ID to buy alcohol?
We won’t sell alcohol to anyone under 18, and we may ask for ID if you look under age, so please bring it if you’re buying. It keeps everything above board for the shop and for you.
For the owner — a few things to confirm before we go live: the shopfront sign advertises “open till 3am Friday & Saturday” while Google shows 2am, so we’ve used 2am here (tell us the correct closing time). We’d also love to add your founding year and a line about who runs the shop, and confirm whether you offer local delivery. This note is removed at launch.
